The asphalting work on Church Road officially commenced on 13 December 2012 with a traditional coconut-breaking (Naral Phodne) Shubharambh ceremony.
This improvement aims to provide a smoother road surface, reduce potholes and enhance daily travel convenience for residents, school children and commuters using this important stretch. The fresh asphalt layer will also support better drainage and longer-lasting road quality.
Local residents and volunteers joined the ceremony, marking the beginning of an essential upgrade that will improve safety, reduce wear on vehicles and strengthen overall neighbourhood infrastructure.
