Healthy eyesight plays a crucial role in the well-being, confidence and safety of every resident. Continuing the effort to make essential healthcare services easily accessible within the community, a free Eye Check-Up Camp was organised in Vashi for people of all age groups.
The camp brought together qualified eye-care professionals and dedicated volunteers who provided comprehensive vision screening. Residents received tests for distance and near vision, detection of refractive errors, and evaluations for strain or fatigue—concerns that often go unnoticed until they begin to affect daily activities.

Special attention was given to senior citizens, ensuring they received detailed assessments for age-related concerns such as early signs of cataract and glaucoma risk. Many elders shared that such doorstep health services make a meaningful difference, as regular clinic visits are not always feasible for them.
Participants who required spectacles were guided with proper prescription advice, and those who needed follow-up care were recommended to nearby facilities for further evaluation. School-going children, office-goers and homemakers also benefitted from the opportunity to better understand their eye health in a comfortable, community-driven setup.
The positive response to the initiative highlights the importance of preventive healthcare and the need for continuous outreach programs. This Eye Check-Up Camp stands as part of the broader effort to create a healthier, more aware and empowered neighbourhood.
Such health-focused initiatives will continue to be conducted to ensure that residents receive timely support, quality services and improved access to essential care.
