Met Hon Dy CM Shri Ajit Pawar sir regarding Vashi Holding pond cleaning for increasing water storage capacity by removing sludge from holding pond. Updated him about the IIT Preliminary survey report, submitted by NMMC which was obtained from IIT Mumbai and Salim Ali centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) as required to be submitted at MCZMA for cleaning of all Navi Mumbai holding ponds. He informed Principal Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar madam to take up the proposal in MCZMA meeting. She has assured to take the NMMC proposal in upcoming APRIL 2022 MCZMA meeting.
I also personally met Principal Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar madam & informed her about the issues faced by citizens during rainy season. I have been following up this issue since a long time & will continue till the sludge from holding pond is removed.
