The construction work for the footbridge near the church area was initiated on 09 August 2011 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The footbridge aims to provide residents, school children and senior citizens with a safer, elevated crossing, reducing road-level risks and improving overall pedestrian movement in this busy stretch. Once completed, it will help decongest the area and ensure smoother traffic flow.
Local residents and volunteers were present during the ceremony, marking the beginning of an important safety-enhancing infrastructure project for the neighbourhood.
