On 8 December 2013, a special inauguration ceremony was held to begin multiple civic improvement works across Sector 4 and nearby zones of Vashi. The event marked the launch of several essential upgrades aimed at improving daily convenience, safety and public infrastructure for residents.
The inauguration, attended by community members and local representatives, included the commencement of:
- Sagar Vihar Road improvement work
- Sector 4 drainage repair and enhancement
- Footpath and internal passage upgrades in adjoining lanes
- Maintenance work across key residential stretches
These works were initiated to address long-standing issues related to uneven roads, drainage blockages, narrow pathways and deteriorating pedestrian routes. Together, they contribute to creating smoother travel, safer walking zones and a cleaner, more organised neighbourhood environment.
Residents appreciated the coordinated launch of multiple upgrades, as it ensured that several civic concerns were addressed systematically rather than in isolated phases.
