Between 2010 and 2015, major playground upgrades were completed across Vashi to create safe, colourful and accessible play zones for children. Playgrounds at Shanti Kunj Garden, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Udyan, Jageshwar Garden and other local parks were equipped with slides, swings, jungle gyms and safety flooring. These spaces included seating for parents and accessibility features to ensure inclusive play for all children. Vaibhav Gaikwad also supported local sports by sponsoring cricket and football tournaments that encouraged youth participation, helped nurture talent and brought the community together for healthy recreation.
