The sewerage pipeline upgrade in Sector 4 was formally commenced on 23 December 2012 with a traditional coconut-breaking (Naral Phodne) Shubharambh ceremony.
This essential work focuses on strengthening the underground drainage line to improve wastewater flow, prevent recurring blockages and enhance overall sanitation in the locality. The upgrade will provide long-term relief to residents, especially during monsoon months when older lines often overflow or clog.
Local residents and volunteers joined the ceremony, marking the beginning of an important improvement in basic civic infrastructure and neighbourhood hygiene.
